Spring News 2013

Spring's a-poppin', the osprey is sighted & launching commences.

The weather has finally broken and as the temperature climbs, we are bustling to get the boats back in the water. We look forward to a great season and would like to hear from you if you have any last minute concerns before launch. Bill and the crew are busy commissioning, preparing and launching every day.

If there are any commission items you would like placed on the boat, please call Diane or Deanna. We can source, order and deliver to your boat many standard items for cruising and anything special your boat may need. Often at an attractive discount.

Time for a bigger boat or see about your boat's value in this volatile used boat sales market? Call Don to discuss things, as he has seen the interest level dramatically increase over the past few months.

Slips are still available and a note to Western LI Boaters:

Many of our customers travel from NYC, Brooklyn, and Queens to enjoy boating from our area. They find that for the hour or so drive they make gives them a great boating starting point. If your marina was damaged in Sandy and you are looking for a place to be for next summer please give us a call as we still have some slip rentals available.

Slips include pool membership, access to our swimming beach, 30 amp electric, and a free mid-week pump-out. Remember, there are more cruising destinations from the North Fork than most places on earth. We are the best location for a home base on the North Fork! 10% discount available for year-round contracts. Call or email  Diane 631.477.0830 today for more information.

Is it time to consider scheduling a summer project? Going away this summer? It may be a good time to get some work done.

Our full crew is on deck and we are launching boats, providing the best service available.  If you are considering a larger project, we expect a slow time in mid-summer. You should talk with Bill Vail, projects scheduled for August can be quoted at a more attractive rate. Some of the highly successful projects we have recently completed were in the following areas - Painting & Deck Repair, Mechanical/Engine Upgrades & Repairs and Ship's Carpentry.

Seeing alot more interest in our sales department.

The public seems content that the economy has settled down a bit. We are seeing an uptick in inquiries and have a number of folks looking for a variety of used boats. If you are interested in the market value of your boat or looking for a change give Don a call.

The queen of the for sale fleet is a Beneteau Oceanis 40. This is big comfortable cruiser with great performance. The owner would love to hear offers. There are a number of affordable 30' sailboats in the listings as well. Click here to see our sailboats. Stop by or call Don to schedule an appoint to view both of these beauties.

For you powerboat fans, we have a couple of nice price reductions, too. The 36' Trojan Express is now offered at $34,999. All owners are negotiable so it may be time to move up for next year. New listing like a classic Pacemaker and 34' Searay are coming in all the time, so please click here to see our listing pages.

A number of yard owned boats for sale.

A 19' Mobjack (one-design sailing shell),  26' Sailmaster, and a 27' Catalina all just became available. As these were brought in for yard bills, they can be sold very reasonably. The coming nice weather encourages you to come take a look. If interested, please email or call  Don to see what we can work out, all offers will definitely be considered.
