Our goals for growth are compliant with
DEC and Southold Town Trustee Regulations.

Our primary concern is for the safety of our Brick Cove community.

We applied to Southold Town Trustees to improve Brick Cove by dredging and rebuilding the bulkhead. In addition to the safety and ecological benefits the project will accomplish, it will deepen the channel to 6' at mean low water and restore the peninsula where the osprey pole is.

Writing a letter in support of the project would go a long way with the trustees. We would greatly appreciate it if you could take a few minutes to provide your support for the project.

Brick Cove Application Goals

DREDGING

The proposed dredging and other thoughtful improvements are much needed and will be appreciated by the entire Brick Community. The navigability of the channel poses a real danger to our boat owners. The frequency of our slip holders who get stuck entering/exiting the mouth of the channel occurs almost daily, no matter the tide.

BULK HEAD

Our year-round North Fork residents take great pride in their choice to keep their boat at Brick Cove. The proposed improvements stand to benefit the greater Southold community, in addition to promoting environmentally conscious initiatives.

Enhanced
ecology & Wetlands

Brick Cove plans to go to great lengths to enhance the ecology of the estuary by creating intertidal wetlands, using eco-friendly materials, and caring for the existing sea and plant life.
